Estimate display-ad revenue from page views, CPM, fill rate and publisher share.

Method

How it works

The calculator estimates filled ad impressions from page views, average ad slots and fill rate. It then applies a gross CPM and the publisher revenue share to estimate the amount retained by the site.

This is a planning model rather than an ad-network statement. Viewability, traffic location, device, consent, ad blockers, invalid traffic, auction demand, seasonality and the network's measurement rules can change both filled impressions and realised CPM.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

What is CPM in website advertising?

CPM is the amount associated with 1,000 ad impressions. Use the gross or advertiser-side CPM that matches the publisher-share input.

What is fill rate?

Fill rate is the percentage of available ad opportunities that receive an ad. Unfilled slots do not contribute an impression in this model.

How is page RPM calculated?

Estimated publisher revenue is divided by page views and multiplied by 1,000. It is an output of the entered CPM, ad density, fill rate and share assumptions.

Does the estimate include clicks or affiliate income?

No. It models impression-based display-ad revenue only and excludes CPC campaigns, sponsorships, subscriptions and affiliate commission.
