Quick answer

Calculate crypto profit after exchange fees

This crypto profit calculator values the amount of coin bought at the entry price and again at the current or selling price. It applies the entered percentage fee to both transaction values before showing net profit or loss.

Use this calculator when

  • Estimating an unrealised result at the current coin price
  • Checking the net outcome of a completed crypto trade
  • Seeing how exchange fees change the displayed return

How to read the result

Net return compares the after-fee result with the original coin position cost. It does not include price spread, gas, funding, tax or a fiat conversion unless those costs are reflected in the values you enter.

  • Use the actual amount of coin rather than the cash amount invested
  • Include network or withdrawal costs separately when relevant

Method

How it works

Enter buy price, current or selling price, coin amount and the fee charged on each side. The calculator values the purchase and sale, then deducts fees calculated on both transaction values.

Net return compares the after-fee profit or loss with the original position cost. Network fees, taxes, spreads, funding and currency conversion are not included unless reflected manually in the entered prices or fee percentage.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Does the crypto profit calculation include both buy and sell fees?

Yes. The fee percentage is applied separately to the buy value and sell value, then both fees are deducted.

Can I use the current price without selling?

Yes. Entering the current price gives an unrealised estimate under the assumption that the same sell-side fee would apply.

Are blockchain gas fees included?

No. Only the percentage fee per side is included in this formula.
